Ancestry.com, Inc. Promotes Eric Shoup to Senior Vice President of Product
PROVO, Utah, March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ancestry.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACOM), the world's largest online family history resource, today announced the promotion of Eric Shoup to Senior Vice President of Product. Eric leads product management and design for the Ancestry.com global platform among other managerial responsibilities. In this new position, Eric will report to Tim Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer, Ancestry.com, Inc.

Since joining Ancestry.com, Eric has improved the Company's product and design functions by successfully integrating new and existing talent from across the company, increasing emphasis on user research and developing and executing our strategy to deliver site improvements to better serve subscribers. He joined the Company in August 2008.

Eric brings more than 15 years of product and general management experience to Ancestry.com. Prior to joining the Company, Eric was at eBay for over five years, where he largely focused on growing its eBay Stores product and ProStores business unit. In addition, Eric assembled and led eBay's global mobile product team. Prior to eBay, Eric was a Director of Product Management at Commerce One, a leading provider of B2B e-commerce solutions. Previously, he worked at US Interactive designing and managing consumer e-commerce and marketing Web sites for established companies such as Lexus and Wellcome Supermarkets (Hong Kong).
