NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In conjunction with its esteemed partners, Moeda – the cooperative banking platform powered by blockchain technology – is hosting a celebratory evening at NYC's Bohemian National Hall. The fete, "Innovative Solutions and Partnerships for the Global Goals," will toast to the U.N.'s 72nd Session, as well as to the launch of Moeda, and three like-minded, breakthrough initiatives.
Moeda launched this year after its win at The Global Goals for Sustainable Development Hackathon. Chairwoman, CEO, and Co-Founder Taynaah Reis reflected on what she sees as an evolution of the international business community in favor of the Global Goals: "We're seeing an historic and significant shift in the business environment, where businesses see greater shared value and potential returns in helping societies become more prosperous -- by supporting longer-term developmental efforts, rather than simply relying on short term profits. Our efforts are strategically focused on leveraging this economic and social shift."
The evening will begin with a social cocktail hour and feature presentations from three innovative initiatives in coordination with the UN-led, landmark project -- The Global Goals for Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030). In addition to the featured hosts, partners, and stakeholders, invited guests include representatives and Ambassadors of U.N. Member States, senior officials from the United Nations, and leaders of both the private and philanthropic sectors.
Moeda and its co-hosts look forward to an incredible evening with illuminating guests from a variety of different sectors and backgrounds. "Collective action is needed more than ever to achieve sustainable development for all by 2030," said Reis, "Join us!"
