All The Single Ladies: An Evening About Mommy-Making Options will take place on Monday, February 23 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at The Morgan Library & Museum, 225 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10016.
Honest, concise information about egg freezing, how to choose a sperm donor and navigating the world of making a baby, single-style, will be covered by experts in a relaxed, conversational format.
"This is not your typical egg-freezing party," states Ken Mosesian, Path2Parenthood's Executive Director. "Unbiased information, from fertility preservation through working with a sperm donor will be discussed without a hard-sell approach. The evening is geared towards helping women at various ages and stages of single life become moms without the help of a husband or partner. As a not-for-profit, patient advocacy organization, Path2Parenthhod is committed to supporting single women, both gay and straight, become moms if and when they choose, in a way that is emotionally satisfying as well as medically and legally safe, and that takes their whole lifestyle into account."
"When women are ready to embark on their journey toward parenthood, they have the option of using donor sperm. Choosing the perfect donor match is an exciting process that can be fun, but it is important to know and understand your options. I look forward to giving an overview of these key decisions at our event," says faculty member Michelle Ottey, Lab Director and Director of Operations for Fairfax Cryobank, which is also the event's sponsor.
The prestigious event faculty also includes therapist Andrea Braverman, Ph.D.; reproductive endocrinologists Jaime Knopman, M.D. and Sheeva Talebian, M.D., both of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York; attorneys Denise Seidelman, Esq. and Nina Rumbold, Esq., partners at Rumbold & Seidelman. Additional sponsorship for the educational goody bags presented to each attendee will be provided by two pharmacies which specialize in infertility – Athorp Pharmacy and Metro Drugs.
"Pursuing single parenthood presents unique medical, emotional and legal issues. We look forward to participating in this educational event and helping to provide woman the opportunity to consider all aspects of this important life decision," adds faculty member, Denise Seidelman, Esq.
The evening is focused on the needs of single women, both gay and straight, but all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
Space is limited at this free event and reservations are required. Please call Corey Whelan at 718-853.1411 or Email.
