Amy Elizabeth Shelton is recognized by Continental Who's Who
NASHVILLE, Tenn, Aug. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Amy Elizabeth Shelton is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the Healthcare field in the area of Research Administration.
Shelton's professional title is Division Administrator at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has worked in her current position for the past 13 years, and brings skills and expertise in process improvement to manage large financial and operational systems for organizational advancement and cost effectiveness.

In her role, Shelton fills multiple job duties in the Divisions of Clinical Pharmacology and Genetic Medicine as well as The Vanderbilt Center for Arrhythmia and Therapeutics, The Vanderbilt Faculty Research Scholars Program, The Vanderbilt Genetics Institute and the Institute for Experimental Therapeutics.
"My goal as a Division Administrator is to continue to provide top level customer service to the areas I administrate and to grow and develop my staff," Shelton said. "I attribute my success to hard work and dedication, and I am looking forward to continued growth and success."
In addition to her work at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Shelton serves as the Vice President of Tennessee Tree and Shrub, a business that specializes in "landscape design, insight and plant procurement," according to the company's Facebook page.
Shelton earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Trevecca Nazarene University in 1996. She is also a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) through the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
To further her professional development, Shelton is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, which has named her as a member of its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She also holds membership in the Medical Group Management Association, the National Council of University Research Administrators, Administrators of Internal Medicine and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
When not working, Shelton enjoys Vanderbilt and Titans football and spending time with her family – particularly, watching her sons play soccer.
