Amtrak & Twentieth Century FOX Promote Family Travel with "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul"
Kids ride half-off every day on Amtrak
WASHINGTON, May 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Amtrak & Twentieth Century Fox have partnered to commemorate the release of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, in theaters on May 19. Summer travel is heating up and with Amtrak's everyday 50 percent off kids' fares, families can take in the wonder and fun of the train, while enjoying a trip without baggage fees and traffic stops.
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, a Heffley family road trip to attend Meemaw's 90th birthday party goes hilariously off course thanks to Greg's newest scheme to get to a video gaming convention. Based on one of the best-selling book series of all time, this family cross-country adventure turns into an experience the Heffleys will never forget.
"We are proud to partner with Twentieth Century Fox on this film," said Jason Molfetas, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. "The discounts for kids that Amtrak provides makes family travel affordable and fun."
On most trains and on most days, up to two children (ages 2-12) may travel at the half-price fare with each passenger paying the full adult fare.
