Amphenol Industrial Products Group Participates in Buy America

SIDNEY, N.Y., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Amphenol Industrial Products Group, a global leader in interconnect systems, is a participant in the United States Department of Transportation's Buy America provision for the rail and mass transit industries.

The Buy America program, which requires that transportation infrastructure projects use American-made products, provide government funds only to American companies that either use or produce steel, iron and manufactured goods generated solely in the United States.

Amphenol, who supplies interconnects for onboard electrical equipment including HVAC, propulsion, event recorders, brakes, lighting, door systems, communication devices, passenger information systems as well as monitoring and diagnostic equipment, qualifies for the program.
