FAIRFIELD, N.J., Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Amerlux CEO/President Chuck Campagna has announced that the Avista LED Light Engine has won a Product Innovation Award in the Exterior Lighting Category, from Architectural Products magazine. Amerlux is a global leader in innovation, manufacturing and creative lighting solutions for a broad range of commercial, retail, hospitality and institutional environments.
The Avista LED Light Engine illuminates nearly any traditional Post Top exterior lighting fixture in new and retrofit installations, designed for street lighting, parks, pedestrian walkways, recreational areas, parking lots, schools and municipalities.
"This Product Innovation Award validates that Avista is the perfect LED light engine for multiple exterior applications, especially as an easy to install retrofit for other conventional light sources," said Mr. Campagna. "This unique LED engine offers customers a significant cost savings that will meet critical lighting and power budgets, as well as energy code compliance."
IP66-rated with a sealed LED chamber and optics, Avista is engineered with an anodized aluminum heat sink for exceptional thermal management and a cast aluminum fitter plate. Available in 3000K, 4000K, and 5000k CCTs, the LED Light Engine operates with just 41 or 57 watts and directs symmetrical or asymmetrical light precisely where needed. It delivers stringent efficacy levels, with up to 100 lumens per watt.
The LED engine's height can be adjusted in the field from 12 to 16 inches, to accommodate a variety of lighting fixtures and maximize performance. It also allows you to keep the existing shade, making Avista one of the most sustainable retrofit products in the industry today.
Avista is a DesignLights Consortium (DLC) certified LED Light Engine that offers leading edge, high efficiency commercial lighting solutions that help clients achieve local and state utility incentives.
Avista offers automatic AC incoming voltage sensing 120-277v with over-voltage and short-circuit protection and a 10kv surge protector.
