Amerinet Awards Contract to Instrumentation Laboratory for Critical Care Portfolio
- Extends Relationship, Initially Established in 2001 -
BEDFORD, Mass., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Instrumentation Laboratory (IL) today announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract for its critical care portfolio with Amerinet Inc., a leading health care group purchasing organization. This is the third consecutive contract Amerinet has awarded IL since 2001.
The contract offers more than 37,000 Amerinet members savings on IL's portfolio of critical care analyzers, reagents, consumables and service, including IL's flagship product, the GEM® Premier™ 4000 analyzer for blood gas, CO-Oximetry, electrolyte and metabolite testing. This analyzer features Intelligent Quality Management (iQM®), a real-time, automated, continuous quality assurance system that ensures the quality of every test result and reduces cost and time expenditure. iQM, coupled with its cartridge-based technology and ease of use, allows the GEM Premier 4000 to be used throughout the hospital, at the point of care and in the lab.
"Amerinet understands how important a healthy operating margin is for every health care provider. That's why we partner with all types of providers to create new revenue streams and reduce expenses," said Ken Rosemann, Vice President, Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging for Amerinet. "This new agreement is one example of our commitment to quality. Over the past nine years, IL has delivered outstanding products and service to Amerinet's members."
"We will continue to provide Amerinet members with savings on the best in critical care diagnostic products," said Brian Durkin, Director Sales and National Accounts at IL. "Our ever-improving and expanding product offering will help Amerinet members stay at the forefront of technology and deliver the highest quality patient care."
In addition to the GEM Premier 4000, IL's contract with Amerinet includes the GEM Premier 3500, GEM OPL, a portable CO-Oximeter; GEMweb, software for remote management of instruments; and GEMweb Plus™, a completely integrated data management system.
