BETHESDA, Md., July 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bach to Rock (B2R), America's music school for students of all ages, announced today that it will be sponsoring Geared Up, a benefit concert and fashion show at The Fillmore Silver Spring on Sunday, August 2, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Members of the community are invited to the all ages event, which will feature raffles, makeovers and live performances by B2R student bands that took home 1st or 2nd place in their respective Battle of the Bands competitions—Bach to Rock's Band program competition. Admission is a donation of $10 at the door, with all proceeds going towards Montgomery County Public Schools, MCPS GIVE BACKpacks initiative.

Geared Up will take place at The Fillmore Silver Spring located at 8656 Colesville Road. Additional sponsors of the event include The Fillmore Silver Spring, Leaders Institute, Montgomery County Public Schools and Avatar Salon. The following Battle of the Band-winning B2R students will be performing:
- Rebellion – Virginia elementary school students from B2R McLean – 1st place
- Legit Society – Virginia high school students from B2R South Riding – 1st place
- Throwing Wrenches – Maryland high school students from B2R Gaithersburg– 1st place
- Nauseous Hippos – Maryland elementary school students from B2R Gaithersburg– 1st place
- BOOTS – Maryland middle school students from B2R Bethesda – 2nd place
