MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) will hold its 2nd Diversity Week Aug. 23-29 in Minneapolis, Minn. This week of events will include AFGE's 3rd Annual Young Organizing Unionists for the Next Generation (Y.O.U.N.G.) Training Summit, 2nd Annual AFGE Pride Training Summit and Human Rights Training Conference. More than 500 union activists from across the country are expected to attend this year's events, which will be held at the Hilton Minneapolis located at 1001 S. Marquette Ave, Minneapolis, Minn.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Community Awareness Walk

What: Labor activists with AFGE will walk one mile in support of victims of sexual assault and to raise community awareness about rape, sexual assault and gender violence. The walk is organized by AFGE's YOUNG Committee.
