American Wagering, Inc. Appoints John English as Its Senior Vice President of Business Development and Public Affairs
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Wagering, Inc. (AWI): (OTC Bulletin Board: BETM), a leading sports wagering service and technology provider, appointed John English as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Public Affairs on November 11, 2010. Mr. English will be responsible for initiating, fostering, and delivering business relationships that support AWI's growth strategy as well as the Company's public communications.
Mr. English served as Senior Vice President of Business and Creative Development for Las Vegas Gaming, Inc. (LVGI) from 2004-2009. Before joining LVGI and between the years 2000-2004, Mr. English participated in the creation and deployment of several sports wagering innovations: Sports Bet Xpress, a self-service account wagering system for bars and taverns; He introduced VirtGame, a server-based sports betting system; and Rapid Bet Live, an in-game betting platform utilizing algorithms with bookmaker oversight, all which received approval by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Mr. English has developed global business relationships to include Europe, Mexico, South America and Macau, China and has spoken and lectured on the subject of gaming, sports betting, and lottery worldwide.
