American Standard Edgewater Faucets Win Prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design

An intriguing blend of clean, geometric styling and impressive functionality, the Edgewater faucet assortment is equipped to help the user efficiently manage common kitchen tasks.

Beneath smooth curves and strong design lines, these striking kitchen sink faucets offer an intuitive 4-function sprayer, plus pause feature, that put even the most demanding home chefs in full control. The American Standard exclusive SelectFlo patented spray technology is showcased in this line, allowing users to simply toggle down into spray mode and rotate the selection dial to the desired spray pattern.

Edgewater faucets offer effortless performance with two additional brand-exclusive features in the docking system: Re-Trax, which provides smooth operation and superior spray head retraction; and Dock-Tite, the magnetic mechanism that keeps the pull-down spray head tightly secured to the spout. In addition, the unique two-part design of each faucet handle allows only the lever portion to move, maintaining its clean design lines while providing smooth operation.

The 41 international design experts on the independent judging panel assessed each entry strictly and fairly, live and on site, according to criteria such as degree of innovation, formal quality, functionality and ecological compatibility. With approximately 2,000 exhibits from 45 nations, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen displays the complete range of current product design. In the former boiler house of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein coal mine, it presents products that have won the Red Dot on five floors and approximately 4,000 square metres.
