WASHINGTON, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Red Cross is launching its first, national Giving Day on June 2. The one-day campaign will support the work the Red Cross does each and every day to help hundreds of thousands of people across the country and around the world. The theme of Giving Day is "All in One Day" because the Red Cross is "All in," every day, helping people to get back on their feet after a disaster or emergency situation.
The Red Cross is asking the public to turn compassion into action and support Giving Day to ensure the Red Cross is there to offer hope and comfort during someone's darkest hour. Funds raised on June 2 will ensure help is available when needed most.
To participate in Giving Day and support the work of the Red Cross, people can visit www.redross.org/givingday to schedule their donation for June 2. Supporters can also help build awareness by using the hashtag #allin1day on Twitter and Facebook.
