Mr. Sacher, who also volunteers on the museum's marketing committee said, "With the five-year license renewal, we will continue to produce a line of commemorative collectible Civil War-themed coins, knives, baseballs, and other exclusive products, many of which are available only through the museum." The merchandise, available in extremely limited quantities, can also be purchased in the Museum's gift shop.
The National Civil War Museum portrays the war as a timeline, and includes the period from 1850 through 1876. From the issues straining the nation through the war's conclusion at Appomattox Court House, the Museum displays over 24,000 items, including collections of artifacts, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and other printed matter obtained between 1994 and 1999.
