American Medical Association Partners with YJT Solutions on Data Center Modernization
CHICAGO, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Medical Association (AMA) has selected YJT Solutions to lead their data center modernization initiative. Given AMA increasing IT service demands, their goal for modernization is to provide world-class availability and service levels to AMA's end users.
YJT is a leading technology consulting and managed services provider based in Chicago, helping customers successfully deliver technology projects primarily inside the trading and financial community as well as other industries requiring high performance and availability. They also provide 24x7 automated hardware and software systems monitoring, maintenance, and service desk support.
"Our firm has been successfully serving the electronic trading and financial services industry for years. As we continue to grow, we are eager to take our knowledge of mission-critical systems and apply our skillsets to the medical industry," said Linda Bracken, CEO of YJT Solutions.
After a lengthy and comprehensive search, the Chicago-based AMA chose Chicago-based YJT Solutions as their migration and modernization partner. YJT was selected for the breadth and depth of their technical qualifications, customer service mindset and solid reputation for managing data center migrations, particularly in the ultra-demanding trading industry.
"Technology has become an integral element for everything we do, and that dependence drives higher order requirements for performance and availability. The AMA has partnered with YJT for all aspects of the data center migration from technical infrastructure design and build-out, application migrations, program management, and vendor management," said Ron Gilliat, CIO of the AMA.
"Housing all of AMA's websites and suite of services, the data center will be moved to a third party co-location facility. By locating the data center outside the downtown area and physically separating the staff from the data center, AMA will reduce vulnerability to disaster, reduce costs, and position the association for the future," said Mike Sanzo, Principal Architect on the project.
The venture launched in November of 2011 and will complete before the end of this year. To find out more about YJT Solutions, visit www.yjtsolutions.com.
