American Heart Association Announces 2019 Chicago Heart Ball Chairman
CHICAGO, Dec. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Heart Association today announced that Andrew Swinand, chief executive officer, Leo Burnett Group North America, will serve as the chairman of the 2019 Chicago Heart Ball. Swinand is passionate about supporting the American Heart Association specifically around employee wellness and the connection between mindfulness, movement, productivity and creativity.
The Chicago Heart Ball – attended by more than 1,000 individuals from Chicago's business, medical and philanthropic communities – is an annual black-tie gala benefiting the American Heart Association's life-saving mission. It celebrates the American Heart Association's efforts to build a foundation of health in the Chicagoland community.
"Working with the American Heart Association to create healthier, stronger communities nationwide is both a professional honor and personal passion project," said Swinand. "I've long been a health and wellness advocate, and try to foster mindfulness, presence and stress management among employees and in my own life. Swinand joins a long list of healthcare professionals and business and community leaders who have led the Heart Ball campaign's mission to build healthier lives that are free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 6-11 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. The evening's festivities begin with a reception that includes a silent auction, followed by an elegant dinner, inspiring program and a spectacular live auction. The evening concludes with an after party featuring specialty lounges and festive entertainment.
