American Fast Freight, Inc. is First Freight Forwarder to Visit US Embassy, Discusses Export of U.S. Goods to Cuba
FIFE, Wash., Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- American Fast Freight, Inc. (AFF) today announced that our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Christopher Paule, has visited with United States Ambassador, Jeffery DeLaurentis and Counselor of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Warnel Lores Mora, in Havana, Cuba, on several topics including the transfer of goods between the United States and Cuba. AFF is the first freight forwarder to visit with the U.S. Embassy and the Cuban Foreign Ministry since President Obama's announcement on December 17, 2014. President Obama's announcement clarified that the United States was re-opening diplomatic relations with Cuba and would allow a limited supply of U.S. goods to be exported into Cuba. As a freight forwarder currently servicing the Jones Act markets including Puerto Rico, and other locations throughout the Caribbean, moving goods into Cuba is a logical service point for AFF to pursue with their current capabilities and offerings in the surrounding markets.
