Second Seasonal Flight Added to American's Largest Hub in Dallas/Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, today announced its summer schedule to Rapid City, offering a second nonstop flight from Rapid City Regional Airport to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport from June 9 to Aug. 22, in addition to daily nonstop seasonal service to O'Hare International Airport. Eagle will operate the service with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets.
"American Eagle has been very pleased with the community's support for the service we added last year, offering convenient access to American's gateways in Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth," said Gary Foss, Vice President – Marketing and Planning for American's Regional Network. "The additional flight to Dallas/Fort Worth this summer will provide our customers with more direct connections to Mexico and throughout Texas."
"This is good news for South Dakota and underscores the consumer demand for travel to Rapid City and western South Dakota," said Sen. John Thune (R-SD). "The addition of another seasonal flight to the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport is great for South Dakotans, business travelers, and tourists visiting our state."
