ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Array Technologies announced today that its DuraTrack™ HZ solar tracker has been selected by American Capital Energy (ACE) for use in a 20-megawatt (MW) DC solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant being constructed near Searchlight, Nevada, 55 miles south of Las Vegas.

The project is the result of an agreement between ACE and NV Energy to assist NV Energy in meeting Nevada's portfolio standard. The standard requires that 25% of energy be generated by renewable resources and energy efficiency and conservation programs by 2025.
Construction of the project will further help develop Nevada's burgeoning renewable energy workforce by creating more than 120 full-time temporary jobs ranging from engineering and consulting to general labor and the electrical trades.
