American Capital Elects Kristen Manos to Board of Directors
BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- American Capital, Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACAS) ("American Capital" or the "Company") announced today that its Board of Directors has voted to increase the size of the Board to nine and elected Kristen L. Manos to the newly created position effective February 1, 2015.

Ms. Manos is a Partner at Sanderson Berry, a business strategy and investment advisory firm. In 2014, she served for four months as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and President of International Relief & Development, Inc. ("IRD"), a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. From 2012 to 2014, Ms. Manos served as President of the Americas at Wilsonart LLC, a manufacturer of decorative surfacing products. In 2010, Ms. Manos helped found an online business focused on women's health. Prior to that, Ms. Manos held officer positions at office furnishings manufacturers Herman Miller, Inc. and Haworth, Inc. Ms. Manos started her career at Navistar International Transportation Corporation.
Ms. Manos currently serves on the Board of KeyCorp and IRD. She previously served on the Boards of Holland Hospital and Select Comfort Corporation. Ms. Manos received an MBA from Yale University and a BA in Economics from Harvard University, magna cum laude.
