FORT WORTH, Texas, May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Beacon Advisors, an experienced provider of investment advisory services to institutional and retail markets, announced today that the American Beacon Small Cap Value Fund (the "Fund") will limit the purchase of its shares by new investors, subject to certain exceptions, once approximately $500 million of net new assets are invested in the Fund.

- Existing retirement and benefit plans

- Partners and employees of American Beacon Advisors
The American Beacon Small Cap Value Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation and current income primarily through investments in small market capitalization U.S. stocks. In March, American Beacon announced that the Fund's AMR Class (AASVX) won the 2011 Lipper Fund Award for Best Fund in the Small-Cap Value Funds category for the 10-year period out of 69 funds based on risk-adjusted returns. The Fund has seven additional share classes: Institutional (AVFIX), Investor (AVPAX), Advisor (AASSX), Retirement (ASCVX), Y (ABSYX), A (ABSAX) and C (ASVCX).
