American Bar Association Approves Herzing University Legal Studies Program
ATLANTA March 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates recently granted approval to the Legal Studies program at Herzing University – Atlanta, making it one of just five ABA-approved paralegal education programs in the state of Georgia.
"We are excited and proud to receive this strong endorsement from the ABA, which is a testament to our commitment to providing a quality, relevant education to our students," said Frank Webster, campus president of Herzing University – Atlanta. "The American Bar Association approval will be a great asset to our paralegal program graduates as they seek employment in law firms and corporations in Atlanta and around the state of Georgia," he added.
The ABA approval process included an August 2009 site inspection and interviews with faculty, administration, students and graduates of Herzing University – Atlanta's Legal Studies program. The team of evaluators was impressed and gave a positive recommendation to the next level of the ABA approval process, which culminated in the approval granted at the ABA mid-year meeting in February 2010.
"We will continue to work diligently to uphold the integrity of the profession while maintaining ABA standards for our programs," said Jennifer Skeete-Cantor, Chair of the Legal Studies Department at Herzing University – Atlanta.
