American Airlines to Launch Nonstop Service Between John F. Kennedy International Airport In New York and V.C. Bird International Airport In Antigua

NEW YORK, Aug. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines today announced it will launch service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and V. C. Bird International Airport in Antigua (ANU), four times a week beginning Nov. 17. The new service will be operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft with 148 seats.

"As American celebrates 30 years of service to the island, we are pleased to begin this new service from JFK Airport, offering convenient access to Antigua and Barbuda as well as additional travel options for our valued customers."

Here is the schedule for the new service (all times shown are local):

American Airlines currently serves Antigua with one daily flight between Antigua and Miami. American Eagle operates one daily flight between Antigua and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
