American Airlines Makes Traveling Twice as Nice by Offering Double Elite Qualifying Miles Systemwide

FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines is giving AAdvantage® members the opportunity to earn double elite qualifying miles for travel on all flights operated by American, American Eagle or AmericanConnection between today and Jan. 31, 2012. Whether customers need a boost to requalify for their current elite status level or simply want a good start for the new year, this offer enables customers to reach elite status faster than usual.

Customers can qualify for elite status in the AAdvantage program by earning 25,000 elite qualifying miles for AAdvantage Gold® status; 50,000 miles for AAdvantage Platinum® status; and 100,000 miles for AAdvantage Executive Platinum® status in a calendar year.
