American Airlines Invites Customers to "Travel Like A Star" With Five Star Service
American Airlines Five Star Vacation Package Sweepstakes Offers Customers the Chance to Win "Five Star Vacation"
FORT WORTH, Texas, July 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning this month, American Airlines customers can register for a chance to win a "Five Star Vacation" through the American Airlines Five Star Vacation Package Sweepstakes. Once reserved for celebrities and VIPs traveling between New York, Los Angeles and Miami, American has expanded its Five Star Service – a personal one-on-one airport assistance program – to 11 airports so that anyone can "travel like a star" (paparazzi not included) to a total of 14 airports worldwide.

Through September 30, 2011, customers can register at www.aa.com/fivestarpromo for the chance to win a Five Star Vacation Package that includes enough AAdvantage miles for two roundtrip First Class flight awards to one of the 14 airports where American offers Five Star Service; Five Star Service for two at the airport; and a $5,000 gift card to be applied toward a five night stay at a five-star hotel, dinner at a five-star restaurant and private car service to and from the airport.

Designed to make traveling convenient and hassle-free, Five Star Service offers a choice of arrival, departure or connection assistance – each with personal, one-on-one assistance. From curbside to boarding and everywhere in between, American's Five Star representatives work at your request to take care of the details and make your travel more enjoyable. Five Star Service includes access to American's Admirals Club lounge*. Personal representatives will also:
- Coordinate with a customer's car service
- Meet customers at curbside or arrival gate
- Assist at check-in and with baggage
- Expedite customers through security
- Provide access to the Admirals Club lounge
- Escort customers to the gate and assist with pre-boarding
- Proactively monitor flights and, in case of delays, coordinate re-accommodation
- Escort through Customs and Immigration for international flights**
- Escort to baggage claim and assist with baggage***
Reservations for Five Star Service can be made by calling 877-5STAR-02 (578-2702). Representatives are available daily between 5 a.m. and midnight Central Time. The meet and greet service is available to customers over the age of 18 who wish to purchase Five Star Service. Children under the age of 18 are welcome to accompany a paying Five Star adult.
Five Star Service, which includes the access to the Admirals Club lounge, costs $125 per person, $200 for two people, and $125 for each additional person. International rates are $200 for one to two people, with $125 per each additional person. Special pricing is available for larger groups. Immediate family members under the age of 18 may accompany the paying Five Star adult at no additional charge.
