American Airlines Cargo Wins International Award
Named Best Cargo Airline from the Americas by Readers of Air Cargo News
FORT WORTH, Texas, April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines Cargo announced today that, for the fourth year in a row, it has been voted Best Air Cargo Carrier from The Americas by the readers of the London-based publication Air Cargo News. More than 25,000 votes were cast in the 28th Cargo Airline of the Year Awards poll, where freight companies from around the world nominate their preferred carrier in six regional categories.
"It is always great to win an award but especially so when the votes are cast by our customers in the freight and logistics industry around the world," said AA Cargo Managing Director Sales and Marketing for Europe and the Middle East Tristan Koch, who accepted the award.
"For all of us at American Airlines Cargo every award is one to be treasured. The dedication and commitment of our staff in each location around the world has been instrumental in helping us achieve this award for the fourth year running," said Dave Brooks, President - AA Cargo.
The trophy was presented by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) World TV Presenter Aaron Heslehurst at a gala dinner on April 16 held at the Lancaster London Hotel. The voting was audited by the British International Freight Association (BIFA), a UK-based not-for-profit group dedicated to improving the standards of professionalism within the logistics and supply chain industry.
