American Airlines Assists Customers Affected by Operational Issues at Miami International Airport
FORT WORTH, Texas, March 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to the fire that has severely affected aircraft fueling capabilities at Miami International Airport (MIA), American Airlines offers customers the ability to change their travel plans.
American's operation at the Miami airport continues to be impacted with many cancellations and delays. Customers with a flight today to, from, or through Miami should plan ahead on AA.com by checking gates and times and signing up for proactive flight status alerts. Customers can also use the automated flight information option at 800-433-7300 to check the status of their flight.
If your flight is cancelled or delayed, please do not go to the airport to seek standby opportunities. Customers will be automatically rebooked if their flight is cancelled and will be contacted.
Should you choose not to travel today, please contact American Airlines reservations at 800-433-7300. We can change your flight to an alternate airport, or to another day for travel. One change will be allowed without any charge, though fare differences may apply.
Please note that calls to Reservations may involve lengthy hold times. American realizes this can be an inconvenience and appreciates your patience.
