American Airlines and American Eagle Host The 'Help for Haiti' Celebrity Golf Tournament in Support of the Village of Vision for Haiti Foundation

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines and American Eagle will host the "Help for Haiti" Celebrity Golf tournament, Saturday, March 12, at the Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club in Keller, Texas. The celebrity golf tournament is in support of the Village of Vision for Haiti Foundation and their efforts to help the people of Haiti. A Gala to kick off the event will take place Friday, March 11, from 6 – 10 p.m., also at the Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club. The Friday night gala includes dinner, performances by entertainer Lou Cobon, as well as celebrity, live and silent auctions.

The "Help for Haiti" golf tournament will feature a four-person scramble format and starts with breakfast at 6 a.m., registration at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Golfers will have the chance to enter several contests throughout the day including a putting, longest drive (men and women), closest to the pin (at select holes), as well as a hole-in-one (at select holes). A delicious lunch will also be provided for all participants with awards, door prizes and a raffle at the end of the tournament closing out the day.

The VVHF was founded in March 2008 as a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) entity to focus on addressing and resolving problems that afflict the people of Haiti. Their mission is to assess current needs and provide long-term emergency relief and recovery assistance to Haiti through the support of children's day care centers, rehabilitation and vocational training programs, as well as the support of health clinics in the country.
