Ameren Illinois Company Directors Declare Quarterly Dividend
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The board of directors of Ameren Illinois Company, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE), today declared a quarterly dividend on all classes of Ameren Illinois Company preferred stock.
Ameren Illinois Company (Ameren Illinois) was established today with the completed merger of Ameren's three Illinois electric and natural gas utilities – Central Illinois Public Service Company, formerly doing business as AmerenCIPS; Central Illinois Light Company, formerly doing business as AmerenCILCO; and Illinois Power Company, formerly doing business as AmerenIP.
The preferred stock dividend to holders of Ameren Illinois preferred stock of the 4.08% series, 4.20% series, 4.26% series, 4.42% series, 4.70% series and 7.75% series is payable on Nov. 1, 2010, to shareholders of record on Oct. 12, 2010.
The preferred stock dividend to holders of Ameren Illinois preferred stock of the 4.00% series, 4.25% series, 4.90% series, 4.92% series, 5.16% series and 6.625% series is payable on Dec. 31, 2010, to shareholders of record Dec. 8, 2010.
With assets of approximately $24 billion, Ameren serves 2.4 million electric customers and almost one million natural gas customers in a 64,000-square-mile area of Missouri and Illinois.
