Ameren enters agreement to acquire large solar facility
Company executing on next steps of plan to grow clean energy
ST. LOUIS, Feb. 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE), announced an agreement with Invenergy, a leading developer, owner and operator of sustainable energy solutions, to acquire a 150-megawatt solar facility project being developed in southeastern Illinois. The deal is subject to closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

This project is consistent with the renewable energy milestones established in Ameren Missouri's 2020 Integrated Resource Plan and the company's goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. It also helps Ameren Missouri customers achieve their own clean energy goals.

With timely regulatory approvals, the project could begin generating clean energy as soon as 2024.
