KEY WEST, Fla., Nov. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- While the world's most advanced treasure hunting vessel, the Lift boat, Polly-L, combs for millions in sunken treasure in waters off Key West, TransMedia Group will hunt for treasure chests of publicity for Amelia's latest adventures off the coast of Florida. A "Lift Boat" is capable of lifting its entire hull above the waves so sea conditions won't bother vessel or crew. The Polly-L has withstood winds over 100 MPH and waves over 20 feet while jacked up off Florida's east coast.

TransMedia said it has already produced a video showing how the Polly L's on-board systems sets a new standard for the Treasure Recovery Industry, including a crane deployable, GPS guided, unique hydraulic excavator that can excavate in shallower water (5 feet) and deeper water (200 feet) than any other vessel in the Treasure Recovery Industry.

The Polly L's lift boat technologies are now at work on the Santa Margarita, a known treasure shipwreck first discovered by Mel Fisher in the 1980's. Mel Fisher's companies are famous for their work on the Atocha and her sister ship, the Santa Margarita, of the Spanish treasure fleet lost in the Florida Keys in 1622. Amelia's target is the unrecovered Treasures of the Santa Margarita.

Amelia's new lift boat technologies opens the door to go back to known treasure shipwreck sites in Florida, which have only been partially studied and salvaged to date. Amelia's Salvage Operations use on-site lift boat research and excavation technologies, to identify and recover historical artifacts from known treasure shipwreck scatter trails. The Polly-L can remain on site for 90 days in sea conditions that would send most ships to port. These salvage projects have substantial treasure yet to be recovered.
