ST. LOUIS, Aug. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced that it ranked twelfth in this year's Global Outsourcing 100® list, maintaining its leading position among the world's 100 best outsourcing service providers across all industries. For the second consecutive year, Amdocs was also among the top 10 providers supporting the entertainment and media industry, in the top 10 outsourcing service providers in Southeast Asia, and among the top 20 in the United States and Europe. Amdocs has been named among the world's 100 top outsourcing providers by the IAOP for the past six years.
A 30-year leader in the communications space, with a business model that covers systems, services and operational capabilities, Amdocs offers its managed services customers accountability and expertise which are unique in supporting their highly complex systems and operational environments. Since the beginning of the fiscal year, Amdocs has signed new managed services agreements to support more than 100 million subscribers at service providers in Europe, Asia and Latin America, including a new, five-year managed services agreement with TIM Brasil announced earlier this month. Overall, Amdocs has managed services agreements in place to support a total of more than 500 million subscribers globally.
"In today's economy, it is more important than ever for companies that choose to outsource parts of their operations to be able to easily identify and select the right company for their outsourcing needs," said IAOP Chairman, Michael Corbett. "The Global Outsourcing 100 list is essential for companies that are looking for proven leaders and rising stars in the outsourcing industry."
"With heightened competition from agile new entrants, service providers face increasing pressure to offer a differentiated customer experience, while reducing costs through operational excellence," said Brian Shepherd, Amdocs group president. "They are looking for a managed services partner who can commit to business outcomes beyond cost reduction, such as faster time to market for new offerings and better customer service levels."
The 2012 Global Outsourcing 100 list was published in a special advertising feature produced by IAOP in the July 23 FORTUNE 500 issue of FORTUNE® magazine and provides a benchmark for overall outsourcing excellence across industries. Companies are judged on four critical characteristics: size and growth; customer references; organizational competencies; and management capabilities. The selection process also takes into consideration such factors as employee education, training, and commitment to community development.
