Amcham South China Brings Paramount Parks to Guangzhou, Shenzhen to Build Hollywood China Dream City
Total investment of the project is expected to exceed $10 billion
GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hollywood China Investment Group, which has the exclusive right to Paramount Parks in China, brought by the American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China) arrived in Guangzhou last night and kicked off their three-day visit in Guangdong Province aiming at inspecting sites for its Hollywood China Dream City and Paramount Parks project. The delegation met with leaders from Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce this morning and will visit some possible sites for inspection.
The delegation is led by Dr. Demos Vardiabasis, the Founding Chairman of California Entertainment & Tourist Committee, and the Chairman of Board of Hollywood China Investment Group. Dr. Demos Vardiabasis has been working to bridging communication and cooperation on cultural creativity industry between U.S. and China for years. Cooperating with Paramount Pictures, Paramount Parks, MESA, HITS, and other leading companies in Hollywood advance visual technologies, the Hollywood China Investment Group led by Dr. Demos Vardiabasis initiated the Hollywood China Dream City and Paramount Parks project, total investment of which is expected to reach 10 billion USD in 3 phases.
It is reported that Paramount Parks is the world's third largest theme park after Disney World and Universal Studios. Established in Florida, USA 15 years ago, currently employs 27,000, Paramount Parks receives 14 million visitors every year. Due to popularity, Paramount Parks is planning another 5 parks and 3 themed experiences around the world.
