Dr. Leviss joins an experienced and proven management team at AMC Health. The company has assembled a strong group of senior executives with significant management experience in technology, operations, business development, healthcare, government, and clinical trials -- all dedicated to advancing the capabilities and adoption of monitored care.
Prior to joining AMC Health, Dr. Leviss was Chief Medical Officer at the Rhode Island Quality Institute, overseeing development of CurrentCare (Rhode Island's Health Information Exchange) and the RI Regional Extension Center, and leading technology adoption for the RI Beacon Community. Before RIQI, Dr. Leviss oversaw provider workflow and security technologies as VP, Chief Medical Officer at Sentillion, a venture-backed single sign-on vendor (acquired by Microsoft Health Solutions Group). Previously, he served as the first Chief Medical Informatics Officer at NYC Health and Hospitals Corp., where he organized clinician governance for the EHR across NYC's municipal health system.
Dr. Leviss is a primary care physician at Thundermist Health Center in RI and Clinical Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy & Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health. He regularly writes and speaks on health information technology, physician leadership, and innovation in healthcare. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University and MD from NYU School of Medicine.
