Ambassador John Bolton Endorses Four Minnesota GOP Candidates

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton endorses four Minnesota Republican candidates for elected office and makes a PAC contribution to each campaign. The candidates include U.S. Senate contender Mike McFadden, Rep. John Kline (MN-2), Stewart Mills (MN-8), and state Sen. Torrey Westrom (MN-7). In the effort to take over Congress, Republican party officials are focused on picking up seats in Minnesota. 

Statements on each candidate:

Bolton on McFadden: "I am proud to announce my endorsement of U.S. Senate candidate Mike McFadden. Mike is the type of problem solver we need in Washington. He will bring his real world experience to Washington and help change the direction of our country and get us back on track."

Bolton on Kline: "John is a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps whose son has served three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He knows what leadership is and is dedicated to serving his country. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, John is committed to protecting American interests from threats at home and abroad."

Bolton on Mills: "Stewart is a business executive with a track record of success. A lifelong resident of Minnesota, he is the right candidate to lead the 8th CD. Furthermore, his opponent, Rep. Rick Nolan has proven himself too extreme for Minnesotans as he voted for Obamacare and against funding for our military and our veterans."

Bolton on Westrom: "Torrey has fought for what's right his whole life. For the past 18 years he has defended conservative principles in the Minnesota state legislature and I am confident he will take this commitment to Washington, and lead on conservative policies that impact Minnesota, America, and our concerns overseas."
