SHANGHAI, Oct. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) and Care Expo have teamed up to create the first Alzheimer's MasterClass in China and has released its syllabus via the Care Expo website.
The Alzheimer's MasterClass will feature renowned Chinese doctors recognized as pioneers in Alzheimer's treatment as well as ground-breaking foreign specialists who are keen to share their research with their China peers. Given the general acknowledgement that dementia, in its many forms, is a growing crisis in China the ADI MasterClass is expected to gather a large audience of executives from hospitals, insurance as well the pharma industry in China. The ADI MasterClass will be held on Day 1 (Nov. 17) of Care Expo's two day trade show and conference. In addition to the ADI MasterClass, Care Expo will hold their traditional Main Summit which will feature presentations from Chinese and Western aged-care practitioners and an IAGG Symposium (Day 2 - Nov. 18) that will bring top geriatricians and gerontologists from around the world to Shanghai for a full day of knowledge sharing.
Among those foreign speakers delivering Keynote presentations at the ADI MasterClass are Marc Wortmann, Executive Director of ADI and Rikke Gregersen Ph.D of Via University in Denmark. The Chinese presentations will feature leading neurologist Dr. Wei Chen the head of Psychiatry at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Dr. Chuanhai Cao of the Byrd Alzheimer's Institute in Florida and Bai Wanqing, a tireless and outspoken public servant who has led a public crusade for greater Alzheimer's awareness in China for the past 10 years.
