Present in North America since 2001, Altran is expanding its automotive footprint, particularly in Mexico, where most of the key players in the automotive industry have set up operations to meet the renewed growth in North American demand. Altran North America has decided to set up an office in Mexico, in Puebla a region that is key to the North American automotive industry thanks to its robust and increasingly expanding order book, boosted by OEM clients such as Audi, Volkswagen, and Ford. With a current production of 2.93 million cars per annum, Mexico is the 8th largest car producer worldwide and the 4th largest exporter.
With 30 years of experience in innovation and high-tech engineering consulting, Altran has developed a range of innovative services and cutting-edge technology offerings that combine the expertise of IndustrieHansa USA (acquired last year) and the Group's two core solutions; Intelligent Systems and Lifecycle experience;
- System Engineering & Intelligent Systems
- Production Planning & Logistics
- Styling & Class A Surfacing
- Digital Engineering & Mechanical Design
Altran North America is pursuing the continuous development of its industrial footprint and has expanded its scope of activities, initially focused exclusively on the Energy and Utilities sectors, to include clients in the Life Sciences, Telecommunications and Automotive industries.
Commenting on the operation, Altran Chairman and Chief Executive Philippe Salle said: "We have decided to open a regional office in Mexico because this country offers an attractive ecosystem for inward investment and access to the rest of the continent. This decision was prompted by numerous requests from Altran's most loyal automotive clients."
Altran's newly launched Mexican operations are headed by Gary Goldmuntz, Vice-President of Altran North America.
