Altova Launches MobileTogether 4.0 with Push Notifications and More

BEVERLY, Mass., Nov. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Altova® (http://www.altova.com) announced availability of MobileTogether 4.0, its framework for cross-platform mobile app development. This release adds support for push notifications, embedding mobile solutions in a web application, and other functionality for building sophisticated, data-centric apps for iOS, Android, Windows, and other platforms.

Here are just a few highlights of the newly released features:

• Support for push notifications with new actions that make it easy for developers to define the sending and receiving of notifications to one or multiple devices.
• Ability to embed MobileTogether solutions in a web application to enable web based form applications and other functionality. Data can be communicated back and forth between the MobileTogether app and the web application.
• Several new actions for defining app functionality, including: Load/Save String, Read Folder, Set Language manually, and more.
• Ability to call Altova MapForce Server directly to perform any-to-any data conversion. This greatly expands the list of legacy and other data formats that may be used in a MobileTogether app.
• A new Server Usage Statistics app for the server administrator that makes it easy to get an accurate view of the usage and popularity of each app on your MobileTogether Server.
• Support for Android 6.0, 7.0, 7.1
• Support for PostgreSQL 9.6
