Altitude Organic Corporation continues making progress in the Company's medical cannabis division.
PHOENIX, Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Altitude Organic Corporation (ERBB:OTC:Pink), is pleased to report that its 8-year old division, Tranzbyte Corporation, has filed for trademark protection for FLIXSTIX, a method for placing and protecting video and audio content on USB flash drives. According to CEO, David Gwyther, this product's operating details will remain guarded until patent applications are finalized and filed for the product, expected to occur in Q1/12.
The Company's Tranzbyte division was created in the mid 2000s for the purpose of developing proprietary media for content delivery by CD and DVD. Since the new CEO was brought onboard, he has acted to reanimate the Tranzbyte division in order to capitalize on some of the company's earlier technologies and as well as the Company's growing relationship with several Hong Kong technology and entertainment firms.
"USB flash drives have taken the place of floppy discs in today's computers. Data storage on a flash drive can be as high as 2 terabytes (2,000 megabytes). Also, the company's contacts in Hong Kong will enable us to acquire our raw products at the best possible prices. Phase 1 portions of the FLIXSTIX development are expected to be complete in Q1/12 and will take place in the US and China. More news on FLIXSTIX will be included in forthcoming news releases expected over the coming weeks and months.
Altitude Organic Corporation continues to make progress through the relationships being developed by the Company's president. "We're not letting any grass grow under our feet, that's for sure," stated Brian Cook. The company continues to make progress developing relationships important to our future businesses while the differences between the rules governing dispensaries get hammered out between the states and the federal government. The latest national surveys indicate that a majority of Americans favor the legalization of medical marijuana (with that majority growing every year). AO remains active and committed on the retail, wholesale, and legislative fronts in lending its support to ensure that people in need of relief are no longer made criminals in America.
