Openly gay award-winning playwright, director and producer Joe Marshall hosts new weekly radio show
NEW YORK, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Alternative Theatre Company (http://www.alternativetheatreco.org) announces Chat With Joe, a new weekly radio program offering insightful interviews with LGBT actors, playwrights, directors, and producers from both on and off Broadway. Hosted by Joe Marshall, an openly gay New York City-based playwright, actor, producer and director whose Off-Broadway smash hit, The Gayest Christmas Pageant Ever!, will be making a return this upcoming holiday season.
"I'm excited to host a gay-themed show," says Joe Marshall. "Other than XM Radio, there aren't that many outlets for LGBT members of the theatre and their allies to discuss openly and candidly about their experiences and prejudices."
The pilot episode of Chat With Joe airs Monday, August 30, 2010, at Noon ET. Joe and special guest co-host Heather Shields, Off-Broadway actor and former "Miss Fag Hag NYC," chat with openly gay actors Lauren Hennessy and Joe Fanelli about working in New York theatre.
Future episodes will air Mondays at Noon EST and include interviews with openly gay Tony-winning actors, directors and producers, including the legendary John Glines. Listeners are invited to call in and chat live with Joe and his guests.
Podcasts of episodes will be made available to listen to and download from Alternative Theatre Company's website and on iTunes.
