Alternative Petroleum Technologies Enters First Commercial Contract in China

LUXEMBOURG, May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Alternative Petroleum Technologies S.A. announced today its subsidiary, Alternative Petroleum Technologies (Asia) Ltd. ("APT"), acquired its first customer in the People's Republic of China, a large shoe manufacturing company.  The contract is the result of extensive trials demonstrated at the customer site that validated a net fuel savings for the customer.

Under the terms of the contract, APT will receive a portion of the fuel savings as compensation for providing its blending unit, additives, and know how.  "We are thrilled to have another location validate the fuel savings aspect of our technology and given the current price of crude oil, we are excited that our technology can help our customers improve their margins," said Mr. Patrick Grimes, director and President of APT.

Mr. Grimes further stated that the initial results were better than originally expected and sets a strong foundation for the next steps for commercialization in Asia.
