Alternative Petroleum Technologies Appoints Dr. Fred Buckingham as Chairman of its Board of Directors

LUXEMBOURG, March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Alternative Petroleum Technologies S.A. ("APT") announced today that Dr. Fred Buckingham has joined its Board of Directors as Chairman.

"Dr. Buckingham brings a valuable board level perspective with a unique commercial and technical background," stated fellow board member and President, Patrick Grimes.  "The fact that Dr. Buckingham has spent his entire career in a variety of combustion engineering positions will enhance the integration of our core technology into our customers' energy management."

Dr. Buckingham has over thirty-five years of engineering experience including Director of corporations engaged in development, design and deployment of high technology equipment and systems.  Dr. Buckingham has extensive experience developing and deploying hybrid liquid fuel technology, including liquid slurries and emulsions, and possesses extensive experience evaluating energy systems for power production and industrial processes.

Dr. Buckingham is currently a consultant at MPR Associates, Inc., a leading full-service engineering company based in the United States.
