Alon Blue Square Announces Resignation of David Wiessman as Director

Alon Blue Square Israel Ltd. (NYSE: BSI) (hereinafter: the "Company") announced today the resignation of David Wiessman as a member of the Company's board of directors effective immediately, due to his disagreement with the decisions of the board of directors.  Mr. Wiessman served as a director of the Company since 2003 and as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors from November 2005 until January 2013.  He also served as the Company's Chief Operating Decision Maker from April 2011 until March 2015 and as Chief Executive Officer from January 2013 until March 2015.
