(OTCQB: HLWD), a publicly traded independent film company based in Los Angeles, California, announces the release of its two faith-based films "The Prayer Box" and "Christmas Manger" (previously named "Bethlehem Ranch") by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, the home video distribution division of Universal Pictures on November 6th.
Almost Never Films first announced the start of principal of "The Prayer Box" on December 15, 2017. The family film, helmed by Kevin Otto, director of recognized faith-based films such as "Grace of God," "In the Name of God," and "A Question of Faith," is headlined by Denise Richards, who appeared in films such as "Starship Troopers" (starring Neil Patrick Harris and Clancy Brown), "Wild Things" (starring Kevin Bacon and Bill Murray), and appeared as the Bond girl Dr. Christmas Jones in "The World Is Not Enough" (starring Pierce Brosnan).
"Christmas Manger" is directed by Brent Ryan Green, who executive produced blockbuster faith-based films "Do you Believe?" and "God's Not Dead. The film stars Tara Reid, who is best known for her role as Vicky in the films "American Pie," "American Pie 2" and "American Reunion" (starring Thomas Nicholas, Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, and Alyson Hannigan) and her lead role in "Van Wilder: Party Liaison" (starring Ryan Reynolds). "Christmas Manger" also stars Andrea Logan White, who appeared in many faith-based films such as "The Moment After II: The Awakening," "Sarah's Choice," "Marriage Retreat," "Brother White," "Revelation Road" I & II, and "Do You Believe."
The launch of the two films marks the completion of the first two films of a multi-film financing agreement between Almost Never Films and Pure Flix Entertainment. Pure Flix Entertainment is a leading independent faith and family studio. Its current new release "Indivisible" is playing at theaters now.
