Alma Lasers Inc. Introduces the First and Only Laser Hair Removal* Platform to Offer Three Wavelengths.
Alma's popular Soprano ICE™ platform now incorporates Nd: YAG, creating the only hair removal platform to offer 810nm, 755nm, and 1064nm technologies.
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., June 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Alma Lasers, a global innovator of laser, light-based, radiofrequency and ultrasound solutions for the aesthetic and surgical markets, announced today the launch of 1064 Nd: YAG capabilities on its Soprano ICE platform, creating the first and only hair removal platform to offer all three of the most trusted and reliable wavelengths.
Alma Lasers leads the industry in hair removal technology. The company introduced IN-Motion™ to the hair removal market, giving providers the ability to offer extremely comfortable hair removal with 810 Diode technology. IN-Motion™ works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicle and minimizes regrowth. The treatment is superior to older technologies that simply blast the follicle with as much laser-heat as possible.
Alma added Alexandrite technology to its Soprano ICE platform in 2014. The addition helped providers address the toughest hair removal cases and deliver exceptional results while maintaining unprecedented levels of comfort for patients.
Now, with the addition of Nd: YAG technology, providers can use the 1064 wavelength to help even more people address unwanted body hair. The 1064nm Nd: YAG wavelength is characterized by lower absorption making it an ideal wavelength for darker skin types. In addition, this module can also be used for the treatment of Pseudo Folliculitis Barbae (PFB).The advantages that Alma's famous for remain in place; exceptionally comfortable treatment, no consumables, and unlimited pulses.
For industry professionals, this signals a new era in hair removal. For the first time, providers will have the ability to select one of three optimal wavelengths for hair removal. This innovation puts 810 Diode, Alexandrite 755, and Nd: YAG 1064 at the operator's fingertips. By evaluating the patient's skin type and hair, the provider can completely customize treatment utilizing the proper technology or combination of technologies to achieve optimal results.
"Soprano ICE is already legendary," says Avi Farbstein, CEO of Alma Lasers North America. "The device has seven years of clinically proven effectiveness and is FDA cleared for skin types I-VI, including tanned skin. Providers have the advantages of pre-set parameters and a light, ergonomic applicator. Most of all, they are able to offer extremely comfortable hair removal with maximized results and minimal risk of adverse side effects. The addition of 1064 YAG capabilities makes it even better."
Alma invites industry professionals to learn more about Soprano ICE and, as a bonus, to download their free e-book, "Ten Ways to Maximize Hair Removal Revenues." The e-book has been published in multiple languages around the world. It's available for a limited time at http://www.almalasers.com/us/ten-ways.
