NEW YORK, April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- John Stuttard has joined ALM as Senior Vice President of Global Events. The ALM Events portfolio consists of more than 300 annual events held on four continents, including Legaltech, ALM cyberSecure, Benefits Selling Expo and America's Claims Event, which attract more than 50,000 executive decision-makers. Stuttard will focus on growing the ALM Events business by establishing new partnerships, nurturing current relationships and finding more opportunities to reach audiences across the management consulting, finance, insurance, legal and real estate industries.

Stuttard comes to ALM from Seven Point Equity Partners, where he served as an Operating Partner focused on investments in companies in the trade show industry. He was also an independent consultant serving a variety of trade show companies. Stuttard previously worked for UBM Live for eight years, most recently as Managing Director for North America, during which he spearheaded the expansion into Mexico and the acquisition of two of Mexico's largest trade shows. Prior to UBM, Stuttard oversaw trade shows and events in the U.S. and other countries for over 10 years at Reed Exhibitions and Advanstar Communications.
