Allure Announces its First Style Lounge at the Empire Hotel
Free runway makeovers; open to the public
NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Allure, the only magazine dedicated to beauty, announces its first-ever Allure Lounge Colored by Maybelline New York, a style event to be held during New York Fashion Week in a storefront at the Empire Hotel. The lounge will offer complimentary runway-inspired makeovers and a sneak peak at the newest collections by emerging fashion designers. Fashion Week not only showcases the trends for the upcoming season, it also reveals the hair and makeup looks that complete each designer's vision.
The Allure Lounge will offer:
- Mini makeovers from Maybelline New York makeup artists
- Live streams of the fashion shows
- "Allure Perfect Profile": A photo shoot after your makeover that can be instantly uploaded to social-media profiles, sponsored by Colgate and Maybelline New York
- Hair products and samples from Catwalk by Tigi
- Hairstyling by the Ricardo Rojas Salon, featuring the debut of Rojas's new tango-inspired brush line
- Emerging designers showcasing their new collections, including:
- Gabriela Moya ready-to-wear
- Kiboots
- Marlies Dekkers lingerie

The Allure Lounge is located at the Empire Hotel, 44 West 63rd Street (between Broadway and Columbus Ave.), and will be open September 8 to September 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
