AlloSource Business Process Manager Designated Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner, Deepening Company's Commitment To Performance Excellence
CENTENNIAL, Colo., Dec. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AlloSource, one of the nation's largest providers of cartilage, cellular, bone, skin and soft-tissue allografts for use in surgical procedures, recognized Kimberly Meyer, Business Process Manager, for being named to the Board of Examiners for the 2016 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award by the Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), deepening the organization's commitment to process excellence. The Baldrige Award is the nation's highest honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence.
Appointed by the NIST Director, examiners are responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the Baldrige Award, as well as other assessment-related tasks. The examiner board is composed of more than 350 leading experts competitively selected from industry, professional, trade, education, health care and nonprofit (including government) organizations from across the United States.

Kimberly has enjoyed a 20-year career in the life sciences sector, serving in quality control, quality assurance, quality management, regulatory affairs, process redesign and improvement and performance excellence roles. In her current performance excellence role, she leads AlloSource through its Baldrige application process. Kimberly has also served as a Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence (RMPEx) examiner in 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and played a leadership role in AlloSource achieving RMPEx's highest state honor of Peak in 2015. AlloSource also received RMPEx's Timberline Performance Award in 2013, Foothills Performance Award in 2010 and High Plains Recognition Award in 2009.
Those selected as examiners meet the highest standards of qualification and peer recognition, demonstrating competencies related to customer focus, communication, ethics, action orientation, team building and analytical skills. All members of the board must take part in a nationally ranked leadership development course based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and the scoring/evaluation processes for the Baldrige Award.
