Allied World's Sam Carucci to Speak at the PLUS Medical Professional Liability Symposium
PEMBROKE, Bermuda, March 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, Ltd (NYSE: AWH) announced today that Sam Carucci, Assistant Vice President for Casualty Claims in the United States, will be speaking at the annual PLUS Medical Professional Liability symposium in Chicago. The event takes place at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers on March 18 & 19, 2010. Mr. Carucci will speak on Friday, March 19 at 8:30am as part of the panel, "MMSEA Section 111 Reporting: The Elephant in the Room?"
Prior to joining Allied World, Mr. Carucci was an Appellate Counsel for numerous medical malpractice and general liability carriers. As Assistant Vice President for Casualty Claims in the U.S., Mr. Carucci oversees a team of senior claims analysts who are responsible for handling the company's Primary, Excess and Umbrella General Casualty claims. Mr. Carucci is also the resource for Strategic Response coverage and coordinates with underwriters to better serve the insureds. Mr. Carucci earned his B.S. from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where he was a Congressional Scholar, and his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. He has also been a panel member for the American Bar Association, and is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.
