alliantgroup Strategic Advisory Board Member Jackie Buck Receives CFMA's 2015 Award for Excellence in Leadership
HOUSTON, July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- alliantgroup congratulates Strategic Advisory Board Member Jackie Buck, the recipient of the 2015 Danny B. Parrish Award for Excellence in Leadership at the Construction Financial Management Association's (CFMA) Annual Conference & Exhibition. With more than 30 years of experience, Buck is recognized nationally as a leading expert in the construction industry, and is a member of CFMA's Orange County, California chapter. The CFMA's Annual Conference & Exhibition took place in Chicago from June 27 to July 1, 2015.
The Danny B. Parrish Award, named after its first recipient, was established by CFMA to recognize and publicly honor a CFMA member who inspires and motivates others, exhibits a strong work ethic, unites various industry sectors in achieving common goals, is an innovative thinker, an advocate for CFMA initiatives, and has demonstrated leadership for over ten years in both national and regional capacities.
An active member within the financial management sector of the industry, Buck has been a CFMA member since 1986 and has held every national office for the association, including Chairman in 2004-2005. She is also a past Chairman of the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (ICCIFP) and is an industry speaker for AICPA, AGC, CFMA, NAWIC and Lorman Educational Services.
Buck joined alliantgroup in February 2015, where she uses her invaluable experience and years of leadership to help construction and construction-related companies claim valuable tax credits and incentives they are fully entitled to under the tax code. Buck described these industry-specific incentives as a way to continue her service and bring "an immense value to this critical sector of the economy." Over the course of her career, Buck, CCIFP, has overseen every aspect of a construction business, spanning from accounting and finance, contract administration, IT, legal and human resources.
"Jackie's experience as an executive in all facets of the business has given her a unique perspective in the challenges currently facing the construction industry," said John Corcoran, Executive Director for the Construction Industry CPAs/Consultants Association (CICPAC) and alliantgroup Strategic Advisory Board Member.
In addition to her work with CFMA and alliantgroup, Buck is the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Harper Construction. Buck formerly held other executive posts within the construction industry, serving as CFO, Vice President for AGI General Contracting, Regional Vice President of Textura LLC (a construction management software company) from 2006-2008 and was the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration for R.D. Olson Construction for over 17 years.
"Jackie's charisma, leadership and dedication to her craft is immeasurable; for those who know Jackie, it is no surprise that Jackie has won this most prestigious award," said alliantgroup CEO, Dhaval Jadav. "I feel honored that Jackie is a member of our Strategic Advisory Board."
